This policy covers the private beta of GPU Rental. It describes what the site actually does today. We will update it before any paid service launches, and counsel will review it at that point.
Who we are
The operator is Sparehive Team. For any privacy question, write to hello@sparehive.com.
What we collect
Email address: when you join the waitlist, post a listing, or request a login link.
Listing details: the specs and text you submit, such as GPU model and count, bandwidth, region, budget, and headline. Optional fields include contact channels you choose (WeChat ID, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, phone), company name, and internal notes for our team.
Login session: a signed cookie named gpu_session, valid for 30 days, which keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the board and posting.
Technical data: we store a salted hash of your IP address for rate limiting, never the raw address. We also record referrer and UTM campaign parameters, and aggregate page-view statistics through a self-hosted Umami instance that does not set advertising cookies.
How we use it
To review listings, match buyers with suppliers, send login links and confirmation emails, prevent spam and abuse, and understand which pages are useful.
Who can see it
Public board: only approved listings are shown, and only their specs, headline, and country or region. Contact details, company names, and internal notes are never shown publicly.
Our team: the operator team can see everything you submit, so we can review and match.
Service providers: we use third-party services to send email and host the site. They process data only to provide those services.
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while the service needs it, and delete it when you ask us to, unless the law requires us to keep it. Short-lived rate-limit counters are meant to be cleared within a day.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, and you can withdraw a listing at any time using the link in your confirmation email. Email hello@sparehive.com with the subject 'Privacy request'. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
Where data is stored
Our servers are in Hong Kong. If you access the site from elsewhere, your data is transferred to and stored there.
Children
The service is for businesses and adults. Do not submit information if you are under 18.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the site before they take effect.
